Firearm Safety Training

In this eight (8) hour course, split between the classroom and range, students learn the universal rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; two-handed shooting positions; cleaning firearms, and opportunity for future skill development. As in all courses, we introduce the importance of such concepts as situational awareness, conflict avoidance and defensive planning. Also available, Maryland State Handgun Qualification Licence. This comprehensive course covers the core principles of responsible concealed carry. Students learn firearm safety, handgun selection, carry options, holster types, drawing from concealment, legal considerations, situational awareness, conflict avoidance, and defensive planning. The training emphasizes safe, effective, and lawful carry practices, equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to responsibly protect themselves and others.

This is a 4 hour course + range time. Also includes the Law of Self Defense in DC. 300 rounds of ammunition, holster, gun belt, mag pouch required.

Based upon the Criminal Jury Instructions for self-defense law in Washington, D.C., and including actual case law cited therein, our four hour course meets the requirements for concealed carry license applications. We cover the basics of self-defense law and theory with all our students.
